Never Forgotten.
Have only just heard of the passing of Pete and am utterly shocked and devastated. Thoughts with the family a year on from one who understands. Xxx
So so sorry Sue, and shocked to hear about Pete. Lots of love to you and the boys. Ruth and Geoff. xx
God Bless. Lots of love and thoughts to all the family
Very sad to learn of Peters passing. I used to compete against him in Lincs League athletics a few years ago. He was a great competitor and a really nice guy.
Very saddened to hear of his passing. He was a fountain of knowledge in the instrumental world for me. I have many fond memories of Pete and will miss him. Thinking of all his family.
So saddened to hear of dear Peter's passing. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with Sue and family, an immeasurable loss.
Very sad to hear this news. Although I only met Peter a few times, on the occasions I did, I found him to be very genuine and kind; a remarkable man. It was wonderful to discover that on buying a clarinet from him in 2019 from Windblowers, we realised that he had sold me a pair back in 1990 at Howarths. Thinking of all his friends, colleagues and family at this sad time.
I'm so sad to hear the news about Peter. He had a lovely welcoming smile to make you feel at home at Windblowers!
I was very saddened to hear of Pete's passing and will miss his cheery smile and " hello" at Windblowers.
Thanks to Pete and his amazing people skills I have 7 saxophones - usually a new one each year at kinoulton saxday. Truly a lovely man x
Small donation. Warmest thoughts and wishes to all the family on the sad news of Peter's passing.
I felt so privileged to run Howarth Sax Shop after you; you were big shoes to fill! Even better was having you as colleague and customer over the next 18 years. You are missed and much love to all your family.
Thank you for all your help and support over the years
What fun we had playing our oboes together 'back in the day', a formidable team to grace any stage! More recently, duets on any combination of wind instruments! Always great fun and full of laughter.
Peter was so kind and talented, helpful to the 'n'th degree with my daughter Louises' saxophones and more recently with my battered and mangy trumpet and cornet. I just hope the blazed contraptions didn't cause him stress now to be honest.
A lovely man, always helpful and kind.
Pete was an integral part of the athletics club. Such a friendly welcoming person, he had time for everyone and was always interested in how you were getting on. My thoughts are with Sue, Mike and Tom
Dearest Peter, A lovely man, who was always a friendly face and helped me out on virtually every visit to Howarths, back in the day , when I was a young musician starting out .
From Howarths when I was a student to Windblowers when I moved back to Notts, Peter was always there with a huge smile and time to chat. He will be missed by many.
My deepest sympathies , my thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Pete, we had some great times back in the day. We've got very fond memories of the times we had and the man that you were.
I sadly will miss our regular phone conversations, not only for your freely given impeccable advice, but also your light hearted humour and support. Rest in peace Pete. Charlie Kendall.

Rest In Peace Pete, you will be so hugely missed. Much love Sarah and Simon
Very sorry to hear this news, I used to commute to London with Pete daily 1999-2001. Lovely fella, spent many hours chatting on the train, very sad news.

The best uncle I could’ve ever wished for. Thank you for all the lovely memories, you will be so missed Petey, love you lots Bekah and Jim xxx
Pete will be remembered for his infectious good humour, kindness and of course, his big smile. He was a genuinely lovely man. Our thoughts are with his wife Sue and the family.
A wonderful man taken too soon. Legend is the perfect word to describe Pete; he did so much for so many people without expecting anything in return.
A true gentleman. Rest in peace, Pete.
Pete contributed so much to all of us in our family, in athletics and music, and to so many others. We all miss him and will always remember with great affection a very good, kind and fun man. Love to Sue, Mike, Tom and families.
Such a good friend and a true gentle man.
Sending love to Mike, Tom and Sue. Pete will be in my thoughts today.
Pete always had time for everyone. During my short time at the club Pete would greet me with a friendly smile and chat. One of the genuinely nicest people I have met.
Pete you were such great fun to be around. The kids were recalling races with you in the garden . Occasionally you let them win! Rest in peace and love to your family who will miss you so much. Xx
Pete, you were one of life's givers, and as Newark AC members we benefitted from your enthusiasm, support, time, encouragement, guidance, humour, expertise, care and positivity. Rest in peace.
